PRESS RELEASE

TUCSONANS TO BE FEATURED ON THE HOME & GARDEN TELEVISION NETWORK (HGTV)

On Thursday, January 1st, 2004, Home & Garden Television aired their special feature, Great Outdoor Kitchens, featuring the home of designer Kathy Lyle and builder Kathy Nieto. The special will also be aired periodically throughout the year.

The hour-long feature will showcase nine homes from different parts of the country, including New York, Chicago, Dallas, San Diego and Beverly hills. Each home will highlight a specific style of cooking, dining and entertaining outdoors. For example, Lyle and Nieto are shown hosting an outdoor party featuring traditional Mexican food for their family and friends.

The Lyle and Nieto outdoor kitchen was selected for its Mexican inspired hacienda style. Designed by Lyle and Nieto, the vibrant kitchen features cobalt blue tiles and sunny-yellow cabinets, making it a focal point of the backyard. The kitchen is fully equipped with a barbeque, oven, burners, refrigerator and storage space, making it as functional as it is beautiful.

The producers of Great Outdoor Kitchens shared with the homeowners that these attributes were part of the reason why they were selected as the only Arizona home to be included. Out of all nine homes featured, the home of Lyle and Nieto is the only home to have a traditional, working oven. In addition, they are the only home with Mexican flair, and bright colors.

To complete this ideal outdoor environment, Lyle and Nieto included a pool, and a colored concrete patio that provides ample space for dining and lounging. Lush plants, situated throughout the backyard in flowerbeds and terra-cotta pots, provide additional color.

Lyle and Nieto were thrilled to be participating in Great Outdoor Kitchens, and are looking forward to the upcoming airing of the show.
